The two women, who each have three kids, will be hosting a live version of their podcast "What Fresh Hell," at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center Friday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.

The podcast airs once a week and features the two moms discussing various issues in a humorous manner. The live show will include game show segments and audience interaction.

"We want to get mom out of the house," Ables said. "It's going to be a super fun evening."

Ables, a comic and writer who lives in Pleasantville, has a nine-, five- and seven-year-old while Wilson, an actress who starred on "The Norm Show" with Norm Macdonald, has children ages 14, 13 and nine.

Before starting the podcast, Ables had her own blog, "Short Fat Dictator" that dealt with raising three kids under the age of four, while Wilson, a Manhattan resident, had done a one-woman show called "Motherload" and written a book called "When Did I Get Like This?" about her experiences raising kids.

The two decided their comedy background would make for a funny and informative podcast.

Being honest -- and true to motherhood -- makes their entertainment relatable. After all someone always has the super organized friend who obsesses over their kid's homework, while others know the more laid-back type that lets their kids wear shorts in winter (more about that in a minute).

"I take a very hands-off approach," confessed Ables. "I try not to take it too seriously. i don't worry too much about supervising homework."

"I'm always making sure I stay on top of things," said Wilson. "I focus group problems into the ground."

Hence, the back and forth. And, the inevitable laughs.

Among the topics the two have tackled: homework, getting a pet, finding good babysitters and conquering clutter. The women do not discuss how they feel beforehand, which can lead to a debate over whether to allow their kids to wear shorts in the winter: Ables has no problem with it, while Wilson put her foot down when the school called.

"If he's cold, that's his problem," Abels said.

The two have an engaging fanbase and regularly get feedback on their Facebook page. Some moms weren't happy with their anti-pet stance, while the topic "What's The Worst Thing About Being A Mom," turned into a war of attrition.

"We didn't solve that one," Wilson said.
